This is rich.

A plaque @ the Lincolin Ctr to honour John D. Rockefeller III, FOR ‘HIS
INSPIRATION AND LEADERSHIP IN THE CONCEPTION AND BUILDING OF LINCOLN
CENTER.”

The quote is actually not bad.

It reads:
“The arts are not for the privilege few, but for the many. Their place
is not on the periphery of daily life, but at its center. They should
function not merely as another form of entertainment but, rather, should
contribute significantly to our well being and happiness. John D.
Rockefeller 3rd, June 22, 1963″
